About Habitat for Humanity of Council Bluffs (HFHCB)
Habitat for Humanity of Council Bluffs (HFHCB) is a non-profit organization dedicated to building simple, decent, and affordable housing in partnership with families in need. HFHCB is an affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International, and they work to revitalize neighborhoods in the Council Bluffs community. They offer a homeownership program where families invest hundreds of hours of their own labor, called sweat equity, working alongside volunteers and other Habitat homeowners. HFHCB also operates a ReStore, a home improvement store and donation center that sells new and gently used furniture, appliances, and building materials to the public at a fraction of the retail price. Proceeds from the ReStore are used to build homes and improve communities locally.
