About Ecolibrium3
Ecolibrium3 is a Duluth-based nonprofit organization dedicated to inspiring and leading change toward an equitable and sustainable future. They focus on community sustainability and resilience, including energy transition, housing stock improvement, economic security, and health. Ecolibrium3 works directly with neighborhood residents and businesses, informing national approaches in energy, resilience, and revitalization. Their programs help homes and rental properties become healthier and more energy-efficient through home assessments and weatherization services. Ecolibrium3's work is centered on the Lincoln Park neighborhood, advancing health, safety, economic development, and connectedness. They partner with businesses, study crosswalks and parking, update condemned properties, increase food access, and provide capacity building to multiple organizations. The organization also focuses on community sustainability and resiliency, including aspects of energy transition, housing stock improvement, economic security, and health. Their energy program helps households reduce their energy costs through energy audits and low-income weatherization programs. Ecolibrium3 also developed an improved audit program that includes an electrification assessment, augmented with healthy housing, rain-readiness, and aging-in-place recommendations. This aims to improve housing stock, enhance health outcomes, and promote climate goals. Ecolibrium3 operates the Eco3 Urban Farm, a two-acre site featuring high tunnels, perennial fruit, raised beds, and developed fields. The farm provides opportunities for social connectedness and produces fresh food for local organizations serving those struggling with food insecurity. They also administer the Lincoln Park Community Center Hub, providing community services and space for local organizations.
