Blackwelder & Son is a commercial, industrial, and residential inspection service located in Bend, Oregon, providing services throughout Deschutes County and Central Oregon. They have been serving Central Oregon since 1981 and have over 20 years of residential, commercial, and heavy civil construction experience. Blackwelder & Son has performed inspections full time for more than 10 years and inspected more than 3000 structures. They offer same-day report generation containing in-depth analysis and inspection summary with detailed photographs with descriptions. Blackwelder & Son uses tools such as drone photography, infrared cameras, and moisture meters in all inspections at no additional cost. Their complete inspections cover the site, structure, roofing, envelope, electrical, plumbing, and heating/cooling systems. Radon and lead-based paint testing are available for an additional fee. Kit Blackwelder has a lifetime of construction experience in all the trades. He grew up in Central Oregon performing construction at an early age, working with heavy equipment and various contractors. He then moved into construction management, building timeshare towers in Maui and Oahu before returning to Bend in 2013 to help others learn about construction. Blackwelder & Son's inspections typically start outside to assess the layout and utilities, then move inside to test appliances and systems, finishing with crawl space or attic inspections.
